Purpose and Objectives of the Action

The project “Human Rights CRC-1” involves the pilot implementation of educational visits and cultural activities for primary education, with the goal of introducing students to fundamental Human Rights and fostering respect for rights and freedoms. It initially targets 150 schools across Greece, focusing on those with a large number of students from Vulnerable Social Groups (VSGs), through visits by teams of specialized trainers and presentation of educational materials, with the possibility of expanding to all schools in the country.

Results of the Action

Raising children’s awareness about Human Rights has long-term impacts on society and global consciousness. When children develop respect for their own and others’ dignity, they become more just, empathetic, and open to multiculturalism.

This attitude can influence their future choices, both professionally and personally, guiding them to become agents of change in society. Additionally, raising awareness among children can lead to more informed decisions on political, social, and economic levels. When children understand their rights and their importance, they can pressure institutions and leaders to promote justice and equality. By increasing awareness and participation, children can influence political and social agendas and contribute to the elimination of injustices.
